MEETING 1: CONGRATULATION

I. TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN

Melalui serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran, peserta didik mampu menyusun teks interaksi tulis sangat pendek dan sederhana terkait congratulating someone dalam situasi tertentu.

Pengertian Expression of Congratulation

What is Congratulation?

Congratulation is an expression that we use to give the congratulation utterance when he/she succeeded in doing something.

Apa yang dimaksud dengan Expression of Congratulation? Expression of Congratulation adalah sebuah ungkapan dalam Bahasa Inggris untuk mengucapkan selamat kepada seseorang terhadap pencapaian sesuatu. Expression of Congratulation juga dapat digunakan untuk mengucapkan selamat kepada orang yang berulang tahun, menikah, atau merayakan sesuatu.

Penggunaan Expression of Congratulation

Bagaimana menggunakan Expression of Congratulation?

Seiring dengan pengertian diatas,  Expression of Congratulation digunakan untuk mengucapkan selamat kepada seseorang terhadap pencapaian sesuatu.

Ilustrasi:

Shakira telah lulus sebagai mahasiswa dengan predikat nilai Cum Laude. Lalu beberapa orang memberikan ucapan selamat kepadanya.

DIALOGUE:

Shakira: Hi, Dolph. You know what. I got Cum Laude!

Dolph: Wow! What good news! Congratulation, Exa. You are the best student on this campus.

Shakira: Thanks, man.
